Support Network exists to help Members of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers who are in need, and is also able to help their partners and immediate family. We help all age groups, from the youngest child to the oldest pensioner.

Support & Casework Officer
Central London
Salary circa £30,000 + Benefits

We are looking for a Support & Casework Officer to work with beneficiaries and volunteer visitors both throughout the United Kingdom and overseas for this small, yet busy, international charity. This is a wonderful opportunity to take on a pivotal role in our organisation. You will be the first point of contact for potential beneficiaries, responsible for co-ordinating our grant making activities, managing our volunteers and deputising for the Chief Executive.

You will have proven experience in an advice provision role, including the provision of welfare benefits advice and will ideally understand debt and money advice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, able to train and support volunteers and ensure that charity funds are properly used. An empathy with the charity’s role of assisting individuals in need is essential and the post holder must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Programmes.
